unoriginal: erin's blog

I'm lazy & quite terrible about returning emails and keeping in touch with people. Now people can be nosey and keep an eye on what I'm doing... as long as I keep the blog up to date!

I went to Live 8 London

Ah Italy...

I must admit- the David Gilmour shows are beginning to fade in my mind as I get ready for the Roger Waters gigs at the Arena in Verona. At first, the Waters shows were an after thought... "Since I was over in London, what's an extra few days?" but now as I learn more about Verona and Italy in general- MAN did I make the right move!

The Arena of Verona was built over 2000 years ago as a Roman amphitheatre and remains to this day one of the biggest and most well conserved examples of Roman architecture. The Arena has always been home to games, tournaments, circuses, only turning into a venue for theatrical performances in the 18th century.

At some point, we're renting a car & driving to Lake Garda for some R & R. This might have been the shooting location for the "Courasant Lakeside retreat" in "Attack of the Clones". Not sure. I'll have to look that up. :)

Acutally, Lake Como is the lake used in the SW saga...

I'm very envious of your trip, even more so now that I see the pics! :) Looking forward to living vicariously through your eyes and ears.
